Giving is an important part of what it means to be a Christian. Giving can take many forms. It could mean giving up time to exercise your discipleship in the church, it could be using your talents to support the work of the church such as helping keep the church garden tidy or volunteering to help with Sunday School. It could mean making a conscious decision to support the church financially. All of these things constitute generosity and here are a few ways you could think about supporting God's work in the North of Darlington in response to God's generosity to us.

Support the local food bank!
Here at St Mark's we think it is important to support those in our community who are struggling or finding it difficult. Giving and generosity is an important part of being a Christian. At St Mark's we collect food for the local food bank and ensure that it gets to them for distribution on a regular basis. If you would like to donate food stuffs such as tins, rice, pasta etc why not drop off your donations at the church on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month between 6.30pm and 7pm or bring them to the 10am service on a Sunday. Your help is appreciated!

Generous Giving - Everyone knows that times are hard and individuals as well as organisations continue to struggle financially and the church is no different.
St Mark’s church is a great asset to our community and we will have to become more creative with fundraising and giving in the months and years to come, as costs continue to rise. We are very grateful to all those who give generously to St Mark’s and encourage everyone to review their giving regularly. Your help is crucial to the future of our church. You can help also by making donation if you are having your child baptised at St Mark's. This ensures that we can continue to serve our community well into the future because St Mark's is YOUR parish church.
If you would like to know more about regular giving or how you could support the work of the church, contact our Treasurer, Chris Bielby on 01325 482949 or email [email protected]

St Mark’s Church needs you!
Could you help serve refreshments after the 10am service on Sunday?
Could you give up an hour once a month to greet visitors to Parish Office Hour? Could you do some work in the garden or give up time to do some decorating? Could you help with fundraising? Would you like to read the lesson or lead intercessions in Church? If you think you could contribute to any of these or other important tasks speak to the Churchwardens. This is a great way to exercise your discipleship. Why not volunteer today?

Our commitment to Charity
